Delve's Unrest Is Over

Sapience,
After an exhausting season of unrest, the Free City of Delve returns to relative peace. We extend our thanks to the open-minded Eschatonic Collective and their cohorts, all of whom helped us sate the confusion and upset of our industrious people. Without you, I daresay the Exchange and Fora would no longer be standing. Criminal charges for arsonists, agitators of chaos, and other such malcontents and miscreants shall be forthcoming.
It is with a heavy heart that I announce the passing of Councilor Veran Eldriss, our Master of Revelries. He served the city well throughout his many years and saw to the lightening of countless spirits with his focus upon community engagement, religious rite, festivals, and even those solemn occasions that drew us together as one people.
Amidst the chaos of the riots, he met his end at the hands of a yet unknown assailant that the Ecclesiarchy seeks the identity of even now.
In spite of this tragedy, we must endeavour to continue and reassert order within our walls.
In the coming weeks, we shall see to an election as per Free City custom. Candidates are expected to step forward and state their intent in the next few days; please note that citizenship with Delve is a qualifier to run, so you may save your Sapient political overtures for another time.
On behalf of the Council of Five,
Lord Provost Wahelei
Penned by my hand on Quensday, the 25th of Niuran, in the year 511 MA.
