Crying in the Rain

Written by: Duchess Jezzabelle Lunare

Addressed to: Everyone

A tear you try to hide-
Pushed back inside
Forces it's way out
And down your face-
Warm and salty-
Upon thy skin
You break
I wish I could lick your tears
And swallow your pain
Taste all your fears
Empathy-
You hold so tight
To your heart
Binding it to stay in one piece
But you squeeze so hard
It shatters-
And finally release
I wish I could drink your tears
Gulp them like hard liquior
Without a breath
Swallow your pain
Like alcohol
In my veins
One shot after the next
If nature would allow
I'd reach right in-
Take hold of your heart
Take hold of your pain
Take hold of your fear
Take hold of your pressure
Take hold of your sins
Take hold of your darkness
Take hold of your regret
And absorb it all in-
I wish I could lick your tears
And swallow your pain
Taste all your fears
As we stand here
Crying
In the rain

Penned by my hand on the 6th of Haernos, in the year 156 MA.
