Written by: Poem, Bard of the Frozen Flame

Addressed to: Everyone
Despite all the memories of time gone by
And all the pains remembered in the best of times
I watch my kindred slowly decay, but why?
They do not falter because of past crimes.
Like falling stars, deep into the night
In the recesses of what I call my mind
I wish I could call them alive, but with death they fight
Without their guidance I am blind
Like falling stars, burning bright but falling fast
Old memories coming to life
Bringing back the good of the past
And yet with it all of the strife
Like a falling star, she shoots through my vision
And I curse myself, unable to stop her fall
And I cry my bloody tears due to the new pain arisen
And wonder, after my grief, if that was all.
If my falling star's awake
And she reads this, let her tell me
Why it was my heart she was to break
And then turn about and leave me
Penned by my hand on the 21st of Lleian, in the year 156 MA.
