Sun

The sun rising in all it's glory,
Warmth flooding the world.

Some it feels with joy,
While others find pain from it.

Colors of yellow and red,
Red of blood and anger.

It brightens some people's days,
While some people find it's darker side.

Being forced from joy by light itself,
Given darkness even at noon.

The glare from the sun creeping in your eyes,
Blinding you and pushing you the wrong way.

The sun brings new light in places that are dark,
The exact opposite can occur for those others.

One can only find his pain eased in fortitude,
and for that, only they can survive.

Penned by my hand on the 14th of Khepary, in the year 148 MA.
