10.4.3.4 Siege Weaponry
Siege weaponry, while known by those in the past, has had its cost and build time significantly sped up due to the enhancements of ylem. What was once a rarity can now be constructed by cities who have the Engineering upgrade through their pylon. Each siege weapon is different from each other, offering unique tools depending on the situation at hand. While only the Security Minister and their aides may build the siege weaponry, any member of the city may make use of the weapons for defence within the city walls. Once they leave the walls however, only the militia may use them for attack out in the field. There is no ammunition needed to make use of the weapons. Keep in mind that they are not invulnerable. Anyone may attack a siege weapon with any hunting skill at their disposal, and while they are somewhat sturdy, they will eventually be destroyed. Quick note: They are sometimes employed in the CTF Arena depending on the rules of the game, the commands are the same if so and are open to free use for those on the same team. General ------- PUSH <siege> <direction> This will allow you to push a siege weapon in the intended direction. Catapult -------- FIRE CATAPULT AT <target> This siege weapon excels at offense against entrenched opponents within the same area. The damage it causes affects everyone in the location where the boulder lands, however the enemy can move away from the location before it hits and avoid danger. Cooldown: 8 seconds. Ballista -------- FIRE BALLISTA AT <target> The ballista is great at single target destruction, as its lengthy bolts will impale the victim and cause vicious damage. Requires line of sight in order to fire. Cooldown: 6 seconds. Flamer ------ TOUCH FLAMER The flamer is a simple contraption, you place your hand upon it and any enemies in the same location will be engulfed in flames. It will draw upon your mana reserves in order to bring the flames into being. Cooldown: 6 seconds. Oil Cauldron ------------ TIP CAULDRON <direction> This towering siege weapon is a cauldron on wheels, filled to the brim with piping hot oil. You can tip the cauldron in a direction to fill that location with oil, where the toxic fumes will deny anyone from wanting to stand in that location for longer than necessary.
