18.4.6 Massdrop
The Massdrop promotion is a fun means of rolling deals throughout the month the promotion is available. The main verb to gain information is MASSDROP. Each massdrop deal comes in one of three flavors: Standard, Prize(aka 'Tiered Bonus'), and Bigprize. Standard Massdrop ----------------- An item will be placed up for sale ingame, for some currency like gold, credits, or iron coins. Every purchase of the item will increase the item's discount. At the end of the sale, everyone will be refunded any savings they missed out on. Example - -An item is placed up for sale for 100 credits. -MASSDROP INFO <#> tells you it will gain a discount of 1% per. -You buy one, let's say you're the third buyer. That's a 3% discount so it cost you 97 credits -Over the period of the sale, 25 total sell, for a final discount of 22% -At the end of the sale, you will receive 19 credits (19% of 100) refund Prize Massdrop -------------- An item will be placed up for sale ingame, again for a currency like gold/credits/ic. Every purchase of the item will add to a pool of points. At the end of the sale, everyone receives a number of prizes related to that pool divided by the value of the prize. Example - -An item is put up for sale for 100 credits. -INFO shows you that every purchase is worth 5 points -The prize is worth 25 points -At the end of the sale, 8 people bought the item, so 40 points -Everyone that bought the item gets two prizes! (40/25, rounded up) -JOY IS HAD BigPrize Massdrop ----------------- The rarest form, due to the difficulty. An item is placed for sale, and every purchase gives some number of points. IF, and only if, the point amount is reached, a large prize will be given to everyone who purchased. No example, it's simple. Syntaxes -------- MASSDROP MASSDROP LIST - List all deals currently available MASSDROP INFO # - See information about a certain deal MASSDROP PURCHASE # [CONFIRM] - Purchase that deal! Additional Notes: Massdrop sales will occasionally drop lower in value than their tradein value, as such, NO MASSDROP ITEMS CAN BE TRADED IN, NOR DO THEY COUNT FOR RETIREMENT VALUE. Unless otherwise noted, you may buy a massdrop item as many times as you want. Each purchase counts as a new one, so you can increase your own discounts or everyone's prize points.
