20.7.12 Blighted Island of Ulangi

Ulangi is an island off the southeastern coast of Sapience. Ulangi once was a large forested mountain which once contained a colony of Horkval and a swamp with a colony of Grook on the other side. The two colonies feuded with one another until the Horkval gained an upper hand on the Grook and, in their zeal to conquer Ulangi, rendered the island thoroughly uninhabitable, forcing both races to scatter throughout the nearby archipelago and eastern mainland.

Once thought scoured clean of life, the Island of Ulangi is now home to an ecological survey by the Siroccian Geological Society. After nearly bankrupting Sapience, the SGS established Lleis' Renewal Point, a research camp meant to study the changes to the island since the incident. Strange lifeforms cover the island, mutated and adapted to life on the blighted, petrified forest, and a thousand scuttling limbs traverse the hive below.
