Forsaken
I have culled two traitors from the Lord's service in my time. I have done so with neither pleasure nor displeasure, as it is simply my duty. It is, and forever shall be, to my chagrin that Your treachery evaded my notice. When I joined as a recruit, I did not trust Your intentions to be pure. Over time, and in consultation with the Lord and observing Your actions, I was coaxed to revise my opinion. In this, I am simply another fool taken in by Your machinations. In this, I am no better than so many others.
It is my greatest shame to have served beside You. I will carry the shame of standing shoulder to shoulder with one such as You until the day I fall in His name.
It is my hope that when Your end comes, it is a lonely one. May You never know comradeship. May You never know triumph. In time, it is my hope that Creation forgets You ever were.
Ever His,
