Failed Adherent,
As if your betrayal of Corruption and of yourself was not enough, you now betray the entirety of mortalkind. Like too many others before you, you flaunted a convenient faith and the moment the least amount of effort was expected of you, it proved too weak and broke. Now, you set Sapience ablaze in a vapid attempt to legitimize the mistake of your existence and to flee from the Despair that festers within your abominable soul. You can deceive others, and you can deceive yourself, but you cannot deceive me and you cannot deceive Lady Chakrasul.
You champion the Eschaton, chanting the name of the Merciless Light, yet you hypocritically ignore the long Shadow it casts. Why? For vengeance against the Celestine? Because He chose to extinguish the civilizations that preceded ours?
So what?
Are you foolish enough to believe that the Eschaton cares about the civilizations that will be massacred by the war between Light and Darkness? Do you think it cares about the civilizations that will be subjected to genocide if the Merciless Light emerges triumphant? Do you think it cares about the civilizations that will be shadowbound if the Fundamental Darkness emergents triumphant?
The Eschaton has created an experiment. Experiments may have preferred hypothetical outcomes, but in the end, the results are the results. It will witness the outcome of Its design and move on. At best, It will spare the Moon from destruction, and that will not save us.
Ascribing moral imperatives to beings that are magnitudes above such things is nothing more than absurdity.
If the Unbound amounted to anything more than pitiful lies, He would have taken the Harlot's head with His own blade and led the conquest of Fire and Light. Instead, He would condemn mortals to eternal war, followed by the possibility of eternal subjugation.
A fitting fate for one as pathetic as you, but I aspire to greater things, and I will not allow you to destroy the world out of sheer incompetence.
The Eschaton's cage will be broken, and I have decided that the people of Delve will be the first to escape it.
Here is my challenge, then: the faith of my sermons against whatever inane excuses you can fabricate. I will meet you at the center of the Sonorous Square. The time can be chosen according to our mutual convenience.
Until the Unbound's rotting skull crowns Barre Arevat, until the Maelstrom's waters thicken into befouled muck, until the Rekindled's forge is ignited by the workings of the Conclave of Science and Nature, until the hand of Malice rends all Nightmares and ravages all Dreams, until the Last Light is smothered out and the First Darkness is shackled to forever bleed shadow --
-- EVER DOWNARDS.
