II - The Righteous Path
How does one achieve Divine Purpose? How does one reach forth and seize that which they are truly destined for? How does the mortal expand into the Divine? At one time, there was only one way, but now there are two: the Righteous Path, and the Sanguine Path.
The Righteous Path is upright; the Righteous Path is correct; the Righteous Path has been walked by many, and completed by few. The Righteous Path comes naturally to mortals - to grow in strength, to seek Divine succour, and to temper oneself into a greater being. The Ankyri who came before walked this path, and mortals have walked it ever since.
In the Midnight Age, the Righteous Path was all but forgotten until blessed Lobyl walked it to completion for all to see. An Ankyrean cast out of his time, he cleaved true to his Purpose and was rewarded with the ultimate fulfillment: raised into Divinity by the Creator Himself, blessed Varian Celestine, and Lobyl now leads us as Bamathis, the Son of Autumn. In His honor, the Righteous Path may be known as the Path of Lobyl.
Thrice did Lobyl strike accord with the Gods. Thrice must we. There are three steps on the Path of Lobyl; look to the Virtues, blessed and wise, and learn Their lessons. Take unto oneself Their tempering. Die, live, and die again. Strive towards Their boon - Adherency is key to the Path of Lobyl, for an Adherent is a true follower of the Divine.
To follow one Divine is not enough - all true Divine, They who are children of Varian, have a lesson to teach, and the Virtues above all others bestow wisdom beyond age. Behold:
Corruption is the soul.
Instinct is the heart.
Tyranny is the will.
Memory is the mind.
Strife is the way.
Three lessons must you take to heart, should you wish to follow me on the Path of Lobyl. Three lessons, and throw wide the gates of your soul. Let Divinity in. Let Them take you, and become a God.
