It should have been clear to you long ago that the troops of the Empire currently serve a dual purpose. Certainly they await to meet the Shadow with tooth and claw, our first line of defense against the encroaching dark. Yet I would not have you forget that just as importantly, they strive to impede the entrance of miscreants such as you, who caused this catastrophe in the first place. Further, they impede the progress of those from Enorian, who have actively attempted to sabotage the undertakings of the Empire that will save our world.


You may think of the troops as a representation of Bloodloch itself, standing unbowed, unbroken and unrepentant before the advance of the shadow, driving back all who come. While the rest of you huddle together for warmth, drink alcohol for the arch, and cry out that you know better.


If there was one thing about the blockade I would change, I would teach them to use bows and cut the lot of you miscreants from the air.
