It is with a heavy heart that I write to you today, yet it seems confusion continues to abound regarding this week's particularly unfortunate string of incidents within the village of Gorshire. In the time betwixt that horrible tragedy and this writing, I have personally toiled - to no avail, I am loathe to confess - to dig out the collapsed entrance of the Gorshire mine. A time during which not a single Gnome did make the journey, or any attempt to save their fellows. I digress, however, for paling justifications and empty platitudes are far outside my aim today. Instead, my fellow Sapients, I ask that you look into your hearts as you consider the following questions:

When your families are dying in the name of coin, whom would you prefer at your side: a sycophantic bureaucrat, or a courageous soldier?

When foreigners filled with avarice and bloodlust stand at your door, whom would you send to repel them: a greedy politician, or a steadfast bastion of the people?

When you are deep underground, spending your life's blood and salt to pluck scraps from the earth to feed your family and the tunnel collapses around you, who will you trust to save you?


When action called, only one Gnome stood bold and true. Only one candidate is worthy and capable of the duties of Foreman of the Goreshire Syndicate. A Gnome of grit, determination, and action. A Gnome who will keep the miners as safe as he does his people - as it is his solemn duty that compels him, not pride or coin.
