Blackscales

Good people, I beseech you to hear my words. My village has never been
of much notice to the wider world, and there is little I can offer now
beyond a mother's gratitude. If I had other means of reaching him... a
dove, a messenger, if I knew anything...
But, forgive my ramblings. My son, Blackscales, is missing.
I woke one morning in the forest to discover his absence, with only a
scribbled note explaining that he'd gone hunting and would return soon.
Days have now passed, and no one has seen him. I have even ventured into
the forest, near to that... temple... but found no sign. I know of
nothing else to do. He spoke often of wanting to leave, but never did I
think it would be so soon. If there was anything I could have done, or
said, to change his mind...
We may not be related by blood, yet I could love him no less than my
own. And though he is no longer a child, my thoughts will ever be with
him, my heart in bondage until I know he is safe and happy. If there was
anything lacking in our village, my son, or in me as a parent, know that
I would have gone to any lengths to remedy it.
If you have any information, no matter how slight, please contact me.
