Duiran

Assorted forestals,

I am sure that, by now, you have noticed a significant population decrease - it would seem that guarding is a dangerous profession after all. After so many years of quiet, I suppose one could forgive them for not remembering that their job does involve a hefty risk. And in fact, it is that risk that I am writing to you all to discuss.

I will lay this plainly for you, to be sure that no demands are missed or misinterpreted - your guards will continue to suffer tragically fatal mishaps regularly unless Spinesreach and Bloodloch are paid 100 iron, steel, wood, coal, obsidian, and leather every season from Duiran's storehouse. Additionally, interested parties will be given a week with which to tour Dendara, escorted by a member of Duiran's leadership. And finally, the Feral Will of Duiran will pen a letter to the public boards for our amusement, humbly accepting our magnanimous terms and thanking us for our kindness. I am sure that together, we will be able to ensure a brighter future for your guards - or at the very least, be sure they continue to have one.

I am sure you are all busy with the various comings and goings of living in the forest: tending to your maimed militia members, and discussing the merits and demerits of rock for decor, and so I will grant you one week from this post to accept to our requests - should no attempt be made to fulfill these demands, then we will return.

Fondly,
Trikal Cardinalis

Penned by my hand on Kinsday, the 2nd of Niuran, in the year 457 MA.
