When the link to Dendara was opened in the Aalen, a fell flame marked
the Hunter's hand. Its ultimate aim seemed to be Dendara, but He was
able to redirect most of it. His actions will have prevented the spirit
realm from a far worse fate.

Dendara, though, seems to be partially corrupted. The first to come was
Hesh'ali ol-Veri, Matron of the Depths. A grotesque sea serpent, with a
toothy maw, unblinking eyes, and shriveled limbs. It was completely
alien to any creature seen before. An assembly of warriors of the
Heartwood took part in slaying it. It is the first of potentially many
corrupted entities to emerge from the realm.

The Heartwood, and the Sentinels guild, stands ready to destroy whatever
else emerges. This is a warning for the intrepid. These fell creatures
are far more powerful and find purpose in consumption and destruction.

Do not be as foolishly curious as many of you have already been with the
Aalen Bloom.
