The Vashnar mountains and areas surrounding it continue
to be riddled with the spores and creeping sludge that
has destroyed the Aalen forest and infected many of us
with what is known as the "Aalen Bloom." The area of Dun
is now affected by it and this serves as a warning to
anyone who hunts near there. Those of us who are
infected and seeking refuge nearby will be hunting
the creatures and traveling in that area, since it
will have no foreseen affect upon us.

It is my plea that you avoid the entire region if you
are not yet ill. If you are unsure, a proper
self-diagnosis will tell you if you've been infected
with the Bloom. I also urge guild and city leadership
to educate your novices and to make that a priority.

Thus far the living are infected and now I have seen
one case of the undead, so please do not assume that
anyone is immune. The same goes for Tekal, Azudim, and
Yeleni.

I will offer information on my ongoing research to
anyone who would like to know more and I ask that if
you have been sick, you would stay in contact with me
so we can continue to work toward a possible cure.
