Revelation

My citizens of the rebelling district of Enorian,
This will be the last time I expect to hear anything of the revelation
given by the false prophet, Sahmie Rhashye.
Years. Too many years of enlightenment and growth has this realm endured
for any to be so naive as the citizens of Enorian and the devoted slaves
of the burning book. To place your faith in the vision of a God
destroyed by a mortal is intolerable. To respect an opponent, the
opponent must be worthy. Enorian has twice conquered the city of
Bloodloch in warfare, twice been victorious in arms against the
oppression we inflicted upon your city.
I do not respect Enorian.
How long did it take for you to lose sight, fixated on the glare of that
lantern in the sky? Do you remember the months the sun failed to rise,
or did your sightless eyes fail you then? If the Fire Goddess had been
consumed by the Kerrithrim rather than the Chaos Mistress, would you
still believe in your book, bound in smoke instead of fire?
Imbeciles. You forget your creator. From Him did your life come, your
world flourish, and your existence persist. The Celestine is your maker,
my maker, and the maker of the Pantheon that guides us. He alone knows
the destiny of this world, and I am forever in debt to His watching
rather than intervention. With the greatest respect to our Creator, even
He did not see the Grand Artifice for what it was.
Did the Celestine give you your precious prophecy? No, you fools.
Mortals, as even I am in the eyes of the Pantheon, determine the flow of
power and strength of the factions to which we belong. The vision of
Rahn is only that: a vision. It is not truth, it is not fact, it is not
certain. It is claimed that Idar Karif reached perfection, and you have
learned now that even your 'perfection' is not perfect.
I cannot see my future, nor anyone else's. None are able. I have a
vision of a united frontier, the Utopia capable of moving out from these
lands and spreading our influence. I pray it one day comes to fruition,
but I cannot ensure it. You, too, may pray Rahn's vision will manifest
itself... but He cannot hear you.
You are given purpose by this revelation- I say you do not need it. You
have found purpose in your own existence, like all others created in
this world. The book is a lie, and you have gobbled it up like cake in
your search for the meaning of your lives.
Idar Karif was no Sentinel. It should surprise me to see how many
lemmings he has summoned, still following...
