Take Me Apart

Riding waves the souls will take
Trodden too deeply through lakes of black
We were us
But to be with you was just too much
And everything.

And everything at all.

You took my world apart
Scattered pieces on the ground
The sound of your voice, the rushing wind
Come to calm
Your eyes held everything
Your touch created me
And the look upon your face, when the last nail was driven through
Was enough

To take my world apart

You take my world apart
Shattered pieces on the ground
sunlight filters through the glass
Of my heart
Take my world apart.

You become my release
Your becoming became nothing
And I thought, it was just too much
To love, or to understand
How pain would make me real
If you could take me apart
Put me back together, then
Shatter the stain
And let us shine through.

You take my world apart
Blasted pieces on the ground
A roaring wind held silence
That was everything your voice could muster
Through the remains of your heart

You take my world apart.

Penned by my hand on the 21st of Midsummer, in the year 123 MA.
