Poetry News Post #765

the Ring

When we were young, or rather you were
I can remember the lovely words said
With a voice that carried my bitter cure
Trembling with new found love, the love now dead

The day we married, deeper emotions
with visions of eternity spent soon
Helped to pull the tide that is my ocean,
pulling stronger than the flourescent moon

Perhaps I loved alone in this, did you?
I don't think you'll understand what I say
The way you used to, the way I do you
And I don't expect to watch for the day

when you and I will still be together
These dreams, this love, I'll have again never

Penned by my hand on the 4th of Severin, in the year 121 MA.
