Chameleon Mask 72

The marionette dances,
whilst the puppet-master prances.
Twirling my life away.

His steps are so confusing,
I wonder if I am losing,
my strength to act and resist him.

His strings drive me on,
despite the contagion,
which fills me with angst and despair.

Subsumed to his will,
I find i've had my fill,
of this life and its emptiness.

-AV

Penned by my hand on the 6th of Slyphian, in the year 116 MA.
