Poetry News Post #612

loss

Faded perception,
Love forgotten,
Happy times lost
like a stain of breath
on a piece of glass.

Twisted fate,
Laughter frozen,
Memories left
to rot at the foot
of the door of time.

Mangled trust,
Smiles departed,
Passion burnt out
like a lit candle
left out in the rain.

Growing sorrow,
Salt tears embraced,
Life as a shell
alone forever
cold, dry, and empty.

Penned by my hand on the 18th of Midautumn, in the year 112 MA.
