Poetry News Post #605

Friendship

Written by: Countess Caera Nebre'seir

Addressed to: Misty

Ye be warned, Don't read this poem unless you want to, like anything
else on the poetry board. I fully partake of the responsibility that no
one might ever read this, except that who it is addressed to. That is
fine. I felt, however, that I should write this after recent
developments both in Sapience as a whole, and on this board about my
friend, Misty.
And to you who shall remain anonymous, I shall state this, and I am sure
later you will mock me for my lack of verbal eloquence as well - All
that glitters is not gold. While others are seemingly more refined
because of their speech and whatever other qualities of civility they
possess, they hold little fascination and worth to others because they
take away from what civilization is created for in the first place, to
being people together.
On a further note, however, in the future, you feel that you need to
spew forth insults, I most assuredly welcome them in my direction
instead, because I always find interesting ways of replying.
Well, on with the poem...
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Who are You?
You're
My friend,
My companion,
Through good times and bad
My friend,
My buddy,
Through happy and sad,
Beside me you stand,
Beside me you walk
You're there to listen
You're there to talk,
With happiness
With smiles.
With pain and tears,
I know you'll be there,
Throughout the years!
You are a good friend
To me and I am grateful!
To you Misty,
~ Caera ~
Penned by my hand on the 12th of Lleian, in the year 112 MA.
