Poetry News Post #499

A Second of your life

Written by: Arachne Corona-Imperil, Xenesthis suri

Addressed to: Everyone

If you should happen sometime to catch a butterfly
On the tip of your finger
Keep perfectly still and silent
Do not draw breath
Instead, savour the moment

For as delicate, beautiful and bewitching as she is
It only takes a brief moment
Or the blink of an eye
And she is gone

Penned by my hand on the 25th of Variach, in the year 107 MA.
