Poetry News Post #475

Again, again, again!

Was there ever greater bliss?

Exhilaration of being free
Like flying high and fast
Wondering how you can stay in the air
And how much longer it will last

Gentle beauty in a day
Sun shining golden
Fruitfulness in everything
A day of renewal

Stormy seas crashing
Galewind whipping away
Anger streaming forth
And lost in the foam

Calm of the ocean on a clear day
Could sink into the cool
Chill and mellow out
Absorbing all tumultuous emotion

Was there ever greater bliss
Than in all these things
Than to be loved by you

Each day brings a new perspective
A child's wonder at an entoxicating world
Heady and wonderful, full of life
And colour and experiences I've never dreamed of

I never realised what wonderful was
Until you stole my heart
Captured my attention
And showed me what bliss was

Petey's Meli always

Penned by my hand on the 22nd of Arios, in the year 104 MA.
