The road

Written by: Lady Zephy Duses

In despair I watched myself fading
Despair, I knew, the hatred building.
Closing my heart
Closing my eyes
I stood and wondered what had I become.
Remembering a past that I could not have.
I closed my heart
I closed my eyes.

Then in the darkness, you came.
Slowing etching your love into the cold heart.
The warmth flowing, the despair leaving.
I opened my heart
I opened my eyes
A friendship that kindled
A love with no bounds

The road opened before me
The debris cleared.
I found the road I sought.
The path was clear
I walked along it
Each step, clearing more
I opened my heart
I opened my eyes.

I opened my heart
I opened my eyes
and what I found was you
standing at the end
embracing me with your tenderness

Now I close my eyes
So that I can feel the love
Feel the love I sought
in your arms

I love you, Zoriah.

Lady Zephy Duses

Penned by my hand on the 6th of Midautumn, in the year 101 MA.
