Simple Ode to Friends

Written by: Arslen's Little Mhun, Styx Duses-Greymantle

Here I stand in a field
Miles of no where in sight
The gentle smell of lilac
Kissing my skin so soft.

Lying in the tall grass
Hidden from all eyes
Reflecting upon my life
The future so uncertain.

Thinking of those that held me
When the nightmares got so bad
And of those that hurt me
Out of ignorance of who I am

A remembered childhood vision
A giant clad in steel
Makes all of life worth it
When there are friends to pass the time.

My love for you is forever
My loyalty a fact
Never hesitate to call me
Whenever I can return the peace
That you gave to me.

Penned by my hand on the 6th of Variach, in the year 94 MA.
