Caged

Inside the cage, I dream that I fly
outside, the world still turns without me.
Its not physical bars that trap me here,
but the bonds of personal misery.

I drift away, seek freedom in my sleep,
try and find a reminder of what might have been.
I see memories of a soul never born,
through the occaisional glimpse in a dream.

I weep so much it all becomes blurred,
the edges of my life melting, dissolved by my tears.
I cannot escape this cage that I built.
the cage is me , my pain, my dreams .... my fears.

Bliss

Penned by my hand on the 18th of Severin, in the year 81 MA.
