Serenity

With dell darkly dripping under soft and healing rain
Leaves flicking with each heavy drop, down and up again
Quiet forest singing subtle melodies of life

Within a shadowy walk a girl waits patiently
Statue still, yet quite alive, stands perennially
Silently drinking in the rain, wishing for a day

Beyond the girl, kept elsewhere is he on whom she waits
She knows that together life has intertwined their fates
Tenacious cedar accepting her serene vigil

Penned by my hand on the 13th of Haernos, in the year 255 MA.
