As I Sat

As the wind blew in the trees
As I sat there listening to the breeze
The babbling brook filled me with ease
As I sat there chewing on some cheese
That my love had left behind the peaches
As I sat sleeping on the beaches
My dreams I had were bright and hapning
As I sat there dreaming, you came upon me napping
My thoughts are always focused on you and your smile
As I sat there longing, waiting to be with you awhile
I was reminded of your touch, your feel, your love
As I sat there needing, wanting nothing more than to move
Yet being unable as I promised to wait
So I sat on and on, and still I sit, holding you dear and waiting for
you.

Penned by my hand on the 14th of Arios, in the year 197 MA.
