How the years rolled quickly away
When he saw me so high in the stars
Burning then, as time poured out of my face.

Relying heavy on his grief, and his mourning
For another slow and aching lament
To hum into the dark winds and angry seas.

Keeping the rhythm hard, a clenched fist
Beating my breast. Clockwork dearer to me
Than his sad cheek and mouth.

The tremble in his throat gave away
And Twighlight crawled right across my smile
Turning him. Far from me, towards his Great Goddess.

And so changing him.
So that I may never again touch him, or feel his touch,
Or sing him verse that wont describe my ache.

Penned by my hand on the 2nd of Ios, in the year 197 MA.
