Poetry News Post #1458

. . .

Written by: Brother Brendan McCloud, The Wind of Change

Many days along the shores of Your bounty
I have cast my eyes to the unfettered horizon
catching the glint of the sun as its rays dance so decadently
in time with the rhythm of the waves

In every shell found along the skirt of Your bounty
he needs only bring it to his ear to hear the soft
whispers of Your sweet refrain

Like an old chorus that has been long forgotten
by the masses that gathered large to sing them,
but its still there.

Perhaps yet another occasion shall rise where the song
is again lifted up in Your praise,
where the Herons shall weep with tears of joy
and the gossamers of spring shall tell its ancient tale again

Penned by my hand on the 14th of Midsummer, in the year 186 MA.
