A lovers dance once shared.

Before a darkened stairway,
among the shadows I stand alone.
Cold gnawing and eating through me,
chilling me to the bone.

Dust kicks up around my feet,
as the icy winds blow and blow.
Numbness seeps into my core,
I stand, not knowing where to go.

Faint sounds of a tune once played,
echo softly through my head.
I sway and step in memory,
of a lovers dance once shared.

Softly softly whispered words,
'Love' a murmur in my thoughts.
Your caress across my cheek,
all a memory buried so deep.

A bond, a love, a passion,
that will last forever in time.
Sealed with a vow of eternity,
you will always be mine.

Penned by my hand on the 5th of Ios, in the year 181 MA.
