Poetry News Post #1394

You and what you do

Written by: Duke Zillah Voltaire

Addressed to: Everyone

Truly...

Your eyes sing something to me
Each note echoing in my blackened veins
They tell me a story of life
Somewhere between mortality and immortality

Somehow...

Hanging deep in the midst
A soul torn between dream and reality
I cannot accept a fate without
The prospect of your icy touch

Hopefully...

Trust when she takes a hold of you
And offers you a taste of what is to come
Trust you will hear my blood whispering
Beckoning you into the shadows with me

Duke Zillah Voltaire

Penned by my hand on the 2nd of Severin, in the year 171 MA.
