love torn from my hands

The wind was still on the day we met.
You took me by surprise.
Worried that you would frighten me,
as your trembling hand embraced mine.

I felt myself drawn to you,
Respectfully keeping aside.
My fearful heart confided in you
The spark we could not deny.

I remember the feel of your loving hands.
The first embrace,tickle,and kiss.
Patience and love you've shown me
Complete adoration and bliss.

I think of the plans we've made together
The beautiful children in my mind.
I ache for our dreams to be real
For your passion and love to again find

Halls and rooms once romantic and warm
now cold, and grey, and still.
I sink into shadow and hide my face,
and the echoing sorrow I feel.

I haven't the words to capture
the driving pain in my heart.
Alone. Silent. Forgotten. Afraid.
that now, my love, we must part.

You will always be my kindred soul. My lover, inspiration.
My friend.

Penned by my hand on the 23rd of Lleian, in the year 151 MA.
