Alone in a Crowd

This was written by my Moobear.
I love you, Moobear!

A single visage in a sea of faces
I tiny grain in a desert of sand
I've been lost once you let go of my trembling hand
My heart did break into dust
My eyes went dull with life lost
Why did love come at such a high cost?
The dust in an urn forged from cold and bitter feeling
You left my world tumultuous, ever reeling....
Raindrops fall like cold, fresh tears
Mingling with my weariness of over the years
Giving and holding, kisses and embrace
The effort it took to forget your face
Fresh wounds cut into my mind each time I think of you
I try and figure out how it can all still be true
I cry each day, away from the world, deep inside
I run away from them all and I just try to hide...
But it's no use and my heart is forever stained
To love again... nay... it would be love feigned.

Penned by my hand on the 23rd of Ios, in the year 149 MA.
