deep in my soul, the fires rage
i am helpless against your touch
my mind races, my knees are weak
i am trapped, defenseless, in this cage

when all else has deserted you
betrayals leave you alone, cold
remember i once held you close
my heat consuming, wild and true

there is no despair that you are gone
emptiness will find its way to you
when all the other lights go out
and there is no place that you belong

remember that I loved you once
but you will not find that place in me
my ears are deaf, my eyes are blind
your friendship never meant much

it is easy to forget your heart
i wonder, will you forget mine?
your eyes betray the words you say
- perhaps you'd better start

Penned by my hand on the 3rd of Severin, in the year 138 MA.
