Meroudys, thank you for spreading great joy,
It's almost better than this puzzling toy.
Usually, my poems are just for me,
But you have given me a key.
A key to unlock a door that was closed,
A key that answers all questions posed.
Now in return, I will tell you,
It's easier to write when you're feeling blue.
Depressing poems are quite black,
But give the authors some slack!
When you're sad, it's easier to write,
To fill this page with fury's might.
Pearls of wisdom, I send you,
So we can do what we must do.
Sometimes we simply must be sad,
It's the truth, please don't be mad.
Sadness lets us appreciate joy,
Like your very first kiss - your very first boy.
This is my opinion; I say it loud and clear,
You have your own, which you should hold dear.
This post here was my very first time,
It was very fun to publically rhyme.
Please don't bother to reply,
Revolt, spit, scream, or defy.
Penned by my hand on the 2nd of Midsummer, in the year 135 MA.
