9.5.1.16 Purification

Purification draws upon the manipulation of inner Spirit and Fire, and represents an evolution of Illumination. Tied intimately to the teachings of Light, the Zealot makes use of their Spirit and Spark to bring about extraordinary feats of will. A means by which this power is guided and constrained is through the use of a focal mark - inspired by the Dunnite tradition of ritual scarification, the mark create what are in effect miniature leylines across the Zealot's body, allowing them to store and direct more Spirit and Fire than the average mortal.

Woe betide the Zealot that exceeds their limits, however - Spirit and Fire will consume their mortal form and make a living inferno of them.

As a consequence of these arts, a Zealot's flame burns bright: blue, or even white flame are not unheard of.
