17.2.3 Fae

The fae are animated beings of the forest, existing in close union with nature's energies and Dia'ruis, the Plane of Life. The well-being of these creatures is reliant on the health of the natural world, but they are not ill-equipped; the fae work in mysterious ways, possessing abilities that empower them to invigorate the wilds.

The forms of the various fae are wildly varied, and virtually endless. While they are considered living beings, they do not age, reproduce, or even die as a living creature would - but the "eternal sleep" is an inevitable fate for all beings of the fae realm. This is but one example of the numerous fae traits which defy explanation.
