20.11.4 Alaqsii Inlet
With the Tarean Glacier looming at its back, the Alaqsii Inlet was long cut off from outsiders, its pristine waters dotted with ice floes. Its rediscovery began when Elder Naartok of the Indyuk tribe within Nuunva presided over a tremendous dig. The structure of the glacier was soon found to be lacking as a massive cave-in trapped the diggers, causing the panicked Elder to call for aid from all of Sapience. Those who arrived were instructed to help dig out the trapped tribesmen, although the rescuers themselves were subject to several more cave-ins that claimed even more lives. After several days of excavation, the last of the survivors were freed and in their stead was left passage to the inlet.
