The Bloodborn Class!
Having delved into hitherto unplumbed secrets of blood magic and rediscovered arts thought lost to time, the Bloodborn class is now available within the Dominion Guild!
With the skills of Humourism, Hematurgy, and Esoterica, this class marries arcane sorcery, blood magic, and a grotesquely intricate control over the body’s humours.
Bloodborn is a mirror of the Ascendril class and its skills translate in the following ways:
Humourism – Elemancy
Hematurgy – Thaumaturgy
Esoterica – Arcanism
For now, Vinessa is the only denizen able to teach the skills, but as always, learning from players is unrestricted.
[0;1;37mHELP BLOODBORN RP[0m is available for your perusal, as are HELP files for each of the three skills, and learning messages which may be of interest! While all the abilities are mechanical mirrors of Ascendril, the themes (with the exception of aegis) are entirely distinct – humourism in particular is an extremely visceral, graphic skill with some very evocative messages!
Any guilded Dominion member is able to [0;1;37mCLASS SELECT BLOODBORN[0m if they meet the requirements for multiclass, and Bloodborn will soon be available in new character creation. For the next two weeks, guilded Dominion members will have no limit on total apprentices per season.
Of particular note is that the vampire sub race is [0;1;37mnot[0m required for Bloodborn to join the Dominion.
In addition, vampires and akkari both spend 5% less mana on Hematurgy and Thaumaturgy abilities respectively, as a demonstration of their lore superiority (over blood / spirit).
As well as fast_aegis translating over, you can also obtain the hunt_bloodborn(1-3) power in the form of a blood-filled alembic!
As always, while we’ve done a lot of testing behind the scenes, please report any bugs or typos right away through BUG or TYPO respectively.
Lastly, I’d like to give a shout out to Emellan, who has relentlessly toiled to make Bloodborn and ????? happen. Send your esteems their way!
Enjoy!
