Ambition Tested

Duiran,
The winds carry with them murmurs of condemnation, yet strangely - a curious silence hangs in the weeks since. Do the lessons of a previous age and a sacked village still echo within the hollow of your woods, to give rise to pause to your council? We clashed briefly after the Abelaasi satyr's incarceration, but beyond that your condemnation has yet to show its teeth. Our forces stand resolute, blood unspilled while you wallow in indecision.
This is not a call for reconciliation, nor a plea for understanding. It is bewildering that those who were quick to condemn might falter behind vagueness and hesitation. Ambition is the lifeblood of progress and the architect of greatness. Ambition demands clarity, courage and the conviction to act - not the feeble gestures of self righteous vanity. If you cannot speak plainly, then what power do your principles hold? Your silence betrays uncertainty and a reluctance to commit; as though you doubt the weight of your resolve.
If you would condemn us for our actions, then speak plainly and with purpose. Declare your grievances, or remain irrelevant. Anything else is hesitation; anything else is the prey that peeks from its burrow only to retreat, whimpering at the sight of a greater predator.
Ever Vigilant,
- Virelen, Daughter of Zenith
