This time it is Tiske! I have never written to any of you before, so this is refreshing. I wanted to speak specifically after the one called Neoma did, for her missive to Sapience made me feel emotions and I wanted to act upon those!
Since this war has started, I have learned things. For instance, did you know that the Hegemonist encourages that which might test the might of Bloodloch? Do you not think that He might also be intrigued by that which tests the might of Tyranny itself? What is Tyranny? This is something I do not have an answer to, as I do not follow the Hegemonist as some of my peers in Spinesreach do.
I am a follower of Ambition.
The Hlugna do not utilize ylem, and so they must utilize something else. Correct? Spinesreach, for one, does not want to remain shackled to Albedos, who manipulate us and our utilization of their ylem technology without truly giving us anything back. I feel, personally, that seeking an alternative is Ambitious.
Great Acts come with Consequences, but we are not afraid. We are not reckless. Our Ambitions are tempered with wisdom and forethought, and to turn away from it simply because something might die, or something might end in loss, or something might cause suffering is a lack of the hunger required to obtain that what is desirable.
Spinesreach is not afraid to be alone on this battlefield, because we will achieve Progress together, as a city of myriad invidiuals and opinions and thoughts. We are a Dragon, and dragons do not fear the process of growth.
Thank you for listening!
Ever hungering in His Shadow,
Tiske
