Duiran Council,
While I have spent the last week being chastised for my choices of Citizenship, in part calling my convictions to the Cycle a failure and other less than savory words by others. I will make abundantly clear simple things, by attacking my convictions, you are stating that the Underking is not monitoring my efforts, and you are painting Him poorly amongst the populace and creating a rift, where a rift need not be formed. Those of His Kingbound and Fatalists are not me, for those who follow Him are praised for the individualism, and understanding of what He represents, and furthermore doing the right thing.
No one takes opportunity to inquire of intentions in Duiran, a reason for my departure was the closed door gossiping and rampant assumption. I assure you I found it quite refreshing here in Spinesreach when I was and have continued to be approached by numerous citizens to understand my efforts. An understanding of Shadow, outside of the blatant and ignorant "Shadow Bad" touted so openly, for much like Spirit, it too is paramount in balance, for every rampant growth shall find a consuming hunger, and the cycle's balance shall be maintained.
I come to the north to better learn of Shadow, and in my place in the Sciomancers, I find myself around a wholly unfamiliar, yet closely monitored curriculum in which control and preservation is paramount. A lesson in which I seek to become greater in wisdom, and provide an outside perspective to my belief in the Cycle's need for understanding.
Secondly, the Akkari. Long had my predecessors toiled on a manner of expulsing this malady from the Undying to return them to the Cycle, though in their hearts they for some reason believed that the Ascendril were the key to this. With that, there we were left with no notations or worthy documents to even expand upon this. As such, I went to the scholars I believed with that knowledge, and found interest and worth in such a charge. So, we progress, for the Cycle.
Thirdly, the priviledge of educating a people interested in something new. Never, not once did the people there bother to learn of Death, and His place in the Cycle, and so I found interested parties willing to learn, and I share openly, I share willingly the lines I draw, Vampirism, Undeath, Deathlore, Alchemical Study and Corruption. Yet despite these hard lines, a compatible thirst for knowledge prevails without infighting and vitriol set to tear the Citizenry apart in a level of maturity I hungered for.
To hear that my choices. MY choices. Harm you so, to the point you would lash upon all followers of the Underking, an Underking who so importantly stands as a cornerstone of the Cycle. That you believe knowledge and citizenry overthrows the convictions of one entrusted by His will in faith.
Then you challenge Him, and this is folly.
Be wise, do not be guided by emotions and hatred for me the person, that you would spill into discord internally. Again. Be better.
Until the Inevitable End.
