Addressed to: Everyone
I can taste it in the air.
Viscid, it snakes over my tongue, saline and sour.
A new age and a new fire are born, change borne by cowardice, determination, and power.
And all too eagerly do the insipid clamor and bellow their declarations, intent on recognition and bent to claim victory unearned.
But know this, those of Light and Fire: we are going nowhere.
No matter how brightly you burn,
No matter how resolutely you strike,
No matter how righteously you proclaim:
Darkness does not die,
And like roaches unending we will endure,
Scurrying and thriving in the pits of the world that live in the corner of your eyes.
Just out of sight.
While the vampires stand, the Age of Dawn will never come.
And I can stand for a very, very long time.
Regards,
Lord Tetchta V. Mesis
