An Age for Hope

I am not casting a vote for the name of an age when I say this, I am only speaking ideas dear to me. There is some truth in all of these things that have been said in recent days. There is much to find a reason for despair in. There is liberation to joyful for. There is loss to mourn. There is, and will ever be, Instinct to drive us. An age born of heroism, of sacrifice, of loss, of betrayal, of victories, of defeats. It is all of these things! It is all of these things, and it is nothing, yet. It is the promise of future things. Of things perhaps better, or things perhaps worse. It is a time, an age, to strive for once-impossible things, to return from once uniminaginable depths. It is an age for Hope, boundless, forever ancient and eternally new. Hopes for conquest, strength, peace, new discoveries or old traditions held safe from change, Hope for better days or even worse, perhaps, if that is what you wish. But is an age that, whatever other disagreements there have been, we all have hopes for.

What has been given may never be lost. Hope eternal, Instinct forever Unforgotten.
