What do you know of Freedom? I suppose you are familiar with denying it to countless, I suppose what you think it means is that you are permitted to take and take from this land until naught is left.

Freedom is something that comes with responsibility. None are free until ALL are free. You deny yourself freedom by shackling those around you, you deny yourself freedom by settling yourself beneath the boot of the Worldeater.

You deny freedom by your very title, Tyrant.

What you mean to say, I believe, is that you were afraid. You and the Heartwood both, actually, gave in to desperation. You so feared the might of the Light Itself that you placed a leash around the Heartwood and, in doing so, bared your throat to their teeth.

Your Warleader was attacked after the admission that a treaty was not incoming, that a demand for surrender was. That a violation of our treaty was incoming. Your word revealed to the plane to mean nothing, their minds always questioning from henceforth what you really mean when you say you are 'For Sapience'.

In one thing and one thing alone you are correct. We did not back down when cowards marched arm in arm to our gates. We did not back down when fools broke a treaty followed to the letter, and we do not regret painting Jaru in your blood. When the world itself marched upon the Holy Bell, we did not falter. We are among the few that faced fully the End of All Things.

Do not flatter yourself to think you are more intimidating than that.
