Sapience,
And those of you who think you know our goals better than we do,
This is a reminder of what the Duiran Council stands for: the defense of the wilds, the balance of Prime, and, first and foremost, the protection of Dia'ruis.
To some of you, that might mean we should exist only in the bubble of your imagination where we tend to pretty flowers and frolic with woodland animals. Others may take it as our existing in stagnancy where we do not bother you, in fear of upsetting the balance of Prime. To all of you, who hear of our dedication to Dia'ruis and make up your own meaning as to what it entails, I hope the next time you speak up in our stead, it is done with a smidge more knowledge.
The third eye of Srahda guides the Council, so we may look to the future for the foe that will be, to strike and cull them before they are. We hear the whispers between worlds, we see the gazes that covet the purity of our domain, and we sense the falsehoods that lie behind the calls for justice and truth.
Let this stand as a statement of our purpose: we do what is necessary. Through change and strife, through alliances broken and reforged, through the testimony of time itself; the hand of Severity acts swiftly. Your calls of morality and your dreams of the so-called Age of Dawn are only alive because we stand at the forefront of Life, doing the work you consider yourself above while you spend your time cutting trees to empower the One who would burn the world once more.
For those of you who act in shadows against the Council and think you go unseen, this is your reminder: the shadows have always belonged to us. Take heed from the lesson taught to the Hammer, and rethink your actions.
Eaku Redwood,
Shout to the sun your grievances; it will still give us warmth and life. Howl to the moon of the injustices we have committed; the tides will still ebb and rise. Cry about our sins to the turning of the seasons; they turn because we stand here against the world, our hands guiding the wheel of the Rhythm where yours would see Dia'ruis starve and die.
I will not deny your dedication to Dendara. All your claims of service, however, died when you chose a parasite over Dia'ruis. Scream about our lack of honor all you must, but remember that your first action after Her birth was to abandon Her.
You call us hypocrites. What are you, Eaku Redwood?
Paragon of the Cycle,

Eye of Defiance,
