When you fail to make up for your inadequacy, you compensate with a bountiful reserve of party tricks and spittle at least. However, if you are willing to play the court jester, then I will indulge your performance.
As much as you and your ilk would like to take credit for Dejaani's arrival, She did not arrive to save us from the clutches of Ohlsana. The First Flame harkened to the clang of the Forgemaiden's bell, because it echoed as a clarion call across the universe, alerting Her to the presence of Ohlsana. Our inconsequential existences matter not to such a tremendous, alien entity. Nay, She was drawn specifically to fight Fundamental Darkness. That we were saved was mere happenstance.
Of course, blinded by Her radiance and struck dumb by the magnificence of Her scourging gaze, it does come to little surprise how you could ever ignore the damage to the lands and the eyes that were burnt out from adventurers and denizens alike, who had the misfortune of surviving the Shadowbound threat only to be maimed by the Light.
What salvation, indeed.
I am no Adherent to Bamathis, and I do not subscribe to His mission, but I can tell you this as Tyrant of the Empire: subjugation comes in different forms, and what Dejaani's children offer is simply one of them, presented so well you could not see it for what it is.
It is quite the turn of an era when Bloodloch offers honesty in its oppression.
What is the price of submission under slavery when you are shown a path to strength and conquest in exchange, after all?
I am,
