As I loudly declare and am dismissed often as a rambling, maddened murderous tree.

I have spoke to many of you privately and raised earnest concern for the well being and mental fortitude of the Syssin during this conflict. While the Director I do not believe to be afflicted by the malady, I must raise some points for consideration. Outlined in the director's post, they made a point to provide this statement, "Grudges and zeal and paranoia, mistrust, bitterness and false hope: These are weak spots in your
armor." Currently post the loss of a battle for Sterion, and now the potential losing battle that the Lord Severn faces in protecting our plane, these key points brought to fruition are laden in members of the Syssin.

Feirenz Ourborian, and Lenoriel Ali'vani have changed in demeanor, as we all recieved missives from Kagura on behalf of the Sciomancers, we were made to be brought aware of the potential risks this malady would present. The change in behavior is acknowledged as panic, fevered grasping and desire for control, unwillingness to demonstrate understanding and fearful mistrust. The assessment is that the Banishment used previously in the War of Night has been weakened by the affliction the Syssin face.

Consider this. Get into the mind of a criminal, of something evil...(I am better at this than most, you all know me.)
If you were Ohlsana and attempting to make a foothold into the Prime Material plane, acknowledging a weakness in that which has kept you from doing so, what would you do first? The ONE thing that has been trained, primed, educated and prepared for this battle by the Lord Severn themselves -is- the Syssin. By crippling them internally, feeding upon their zeal, and weakening their resolve. She assures her entry, she assures her success.

I have heard touting and angered pleas of their being the ONLY solution to this. What would the Shadow Mother want us to believe, once She has them precisely where She wants them. Trust in the Sciomancers and the Archivum, but it is my belief that the Syssin should be quarantined as a -risk- to Sapience. Look at how they alongside the Albedi worshipping Enorianites linger around the archway, have you visited, have you felt its pull. How can one rightfully stand around this axis of power and avoid this malady, there is no amount of training that can steel you from the power of the Divine. Look at how simply post war we cast aside our hatreds to listen and bow to the whims of those who claim they are the only solution. We have seen what the nihilism of the Council can do, we have seen the fear in all of our people. Persist, dont prostrate!

Sapience, you are better than this.
